Defend Akan Rilis Single ‘We are the Stubborn’ Awal Maret 2016 Metal Head Zine

We are the Stubborn merupakan sebuah penafsiran dari fenomena sosial di tengah masyarakat.

ALICE COOPER Classic 'School's Out' Is Basis Of New Slot Machine

U.K.-based slots developer Spike Games is creating a new title based on the classic Alice Cooper song "School's Out" under a new licensing deal.
When asked about the inspiration for this song, Cooper once said, "What's the greatest three minutes of your life? The last three minutes of the last day of school when you're sitting there and it's like a slow fuse burning."
Bringing one of the best feelings of anticipation to a slot format is why Spike Games has inked this deal. In Britain, the song went to No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart for three weeks in August 1972.
Rob Anderson, founder of Spike Games, said: "I love everything about this song.
"Alice Cooper is a huge deal worldwide. He's as popular in China as he is in his hometown.
"What attracted us most was how visually stunning Alice Cooper is. Everyone instantly knows the band when they see the famous one of a kind Alice Cooper makeup.
"'School's Out', as a song, has a timeless chorus and guitar riffs known by everyone young and old."
Cooper's merchandiser and licensing agent Global Merchandising Services, said: "We love the team at Spike Games and their whole approach to the Alice Cooper brand. Rob's knowledge and experience in slot game design stretches back 25 years and the quality of Spike Games product speaks for itself."
Spike Games has an existing library of proven slots aimed at the U.K. and international markets. This new must-have game will be available for mobile, tablet and PC in HTML5 hosted on the SpikeRGS and is available for license and distribution Q1 2016.

Gray Chapter", has been certified gold in Austria for sales in excess of 7,500 copies.
A photo of SLIPKNOT drummer Jay Weinberg posing with his gold plaque can be seen below.
".5: The Gray Chapter" has sold 383,000 copies in the United States since its October 2014 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
SLIPKNOT has selected "Goodbye" as the next single from ".5: The Gray Chapter".
SLIPKNOT is nominated in both "Best Rock Album" (".5: The Gray Chapter") and "Best Metal Performance" ("Custer") categories at the 58th annual Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 15 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
Weinberg is the son of Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg.
SLIPKNOT announced its split with drummer Joey Jordison in December 2013 but did not disclose the reasons for his exit. The drummer subsequently issued a statement saying that he did not quit the group.
Weinberg was previously in the punk band AGAINST ME! and left under less-than-friendly circumstances.

DEFTONES Confirm 'Gore' Album Title, Tease New Song

DEFTONES have released a short teaser video for their new album, "Gore", due on April 8 via Warner Bros. Records. Check it out below.
During a November 2015 interiew with BBC Radio 1's "Rock Show", DEFTONES frontman Chino Moreno stated about "vibe" of the band's long-awaited follow-up to 2012's "Koi No Yokan": "I can't really compare it to our last couple of records. I mean, those two records were done in a very similar manner where we locked ourselves in a room for a short period of time and wrote and recorded it. And therefore, I feel like we sort of really captured this moment in time, and the records sort of sound cohesive because of that. This record was done sort of over a year, spread out over these little, tiny writing sections. So it sounds a bit more fragmented, but in a good way. I mean, I feel like you put on one song and it's completely different from the song after it, or previous to it. So it's not like we had this one main idea and we went in and we sort of went with that vibe. I mean, the vibe's sort of all over the place. So, like any DEFTONES record, I mean, it's got dynamics and there's loud aggressiveness and there's mellowness to it, but it's all sort of got an ebb and flow to it. I don't know… It'd be hard for me to just put it in words exactly what it sounds like. It's definitely a DEFTONES record. The way I look at it is it's a gradual step from where we last were."
According to Moreno, sixteen songs were written for DEFTONES' new CD, which was once again produced by Matt Hyde (SLAYER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, MONSTER MAGNET, WINDS OF PLAGUE). The effort features a guest appearance by Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS).

Upcoming Tours – Absu

.
Spring 2016 will seeMerelogical Nihilism Connexus Tour”. The main purpose of this tour is building up hype for Absu’s next studio album, which creatively will be named Apsu. As of now, said album is partially constructed, band frontman and percussionist Proscriptor claims that he’s completed recording the rhythm tracks, and makes statements that suggest that a great deal of effort has gone into the lyrics. Hopefully similar effort is being placed into the other aspects of the recording; word on the street is that Absu lost some critical direction and cohesion when they reformed. I guess we’ll just have to listen in; a release date has not yet been set for this material

Idols Of Apathy premiere Bipolar video

Watch the new video from Idols Of Apathy
Essex metal mobsters Idols Of Apathy are debuting their new video for Bipolar exclusively with Metal Hammer.
"The track was written and fuelled on my bipolar disorder," says vocalist Jack Dervish. "It's something that during the writing process of this track, before it was named, had me writing things that I haven't said for a long time. I was hurting people I didn't want to hurt and I was having the full effect of bad luck, bad timing with bad thoughts, all at once. The music itself contains our most angriest and positive parts of the EP and in all honesty when writing it I didn't notice but everything in this track is purely me at my best and worst.

Scorpion Child issue She Sings, I Kill lyric video News / Stef Lach / 09 Nov 2015

Track taken from upcoming 2nd album and is available on 7-inch vinyl at live shows
Scorpion Child have released a lyric video for their track She Sings, I Kill.
The song is taken from the band's upcoming second album, due for release in early 2016.
Singer Aryn Jonathan Black says: "Rather than viewing She Sings, I Kill as a first single off of our upcoming album, it serves more as a window into its creation. It offers a mix unique to this release but also previews one direction taken on this next record that we're excited to finally bring into fruition."
The track is available on 7-inch vinyl at the group's November and December live dates. It includes B-side (Enter The) Twilight Coven.
Scorpion Child released their self-titled debut album in 2013.

Milk Teeth release Brickwork promo

View video for track taken from upcoming debut album
Milk Teeth have released a video for their track Brickwork.
It's taken from the British punk rockers' upcoming debut album Vile Child, out on January 29, 2016, via Hopeless Records. It follows their two EPs – 2013's Smiling Politely and this year's Sad Sack.
Singer and bassist Becky Blomfield says: "With Vile Child, we didn't set out with any grand idea we just wanted to make something that crossed over. This record encompasses everything we do well as a band."
The album was recorded at The Ranch Production House in the New Forest with producer Neil Kennedy.
Guitarist and co-vocalist Josh Bannister adds: "Vile Child is a culmination of all the things we have learnt from being in this band over the last two years all the experiences we have had personally and as a group all in one place."

Ghost, Undead in Los Angeles

Henry Fonda Theatre, Hollywood April 27, 2014
Occult-loving Swedish rockers Ghost (aka Ghost BC) stopped off in Tinsel Town for a sell-out show on their month long US tour. Here's five things we learned while Ghost hunting...
A GOOD VENUE CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Los Angeles seems to have more than it's fair share of dismal venues (we're looking at you Club Nokia and The Wiltern, or would be if we could see more than the back of someone's head), but thankfully the Fonda is not among them. Aside from great acoustics and the added 'bonus' of being able to see the band, the entire place is decorated with the Hieronymous Bosch painting of Hell, floor to ceiling! It may be foolish to review a venue, but, come on, Ghost playing in Hell on a Sunday! How cool is that? If Satan doesn't show up tonight then he's never showing up.
KING DUDE MIGHT BE WORTH KEEPING AN EYE ON
King Dude is the tattooed fella who fronts the opening trio, “a folk singer turned rock 'n' roll Lucifer” according to his bio, and while it would be blasphemy to utter the name Johnny Cash in the same sentence, you'd be heading in roughly the right direction. There's a fair amount of Nick Cave in those mournful howls, too, and a vague feeling of the Reverend Horton Heat on heroin. Which is a good thing, for the most part, and at least half the set is quite mesmerizing while the rest is slightly grating. London's Miraculous Mule do it better, but a nice find nonetheless.
WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHO'S ACTUALLY IN GHOST
It's probably for the best that Ghost have gone for more of a Darth Vader look on this tour than the unfortunate Klan-like outfits they've previously sported, but, to give them their due, the band have honed the anonymity thing down to a fine art. There are strong rumours that Dave Grohl is playing drums tonight, which would make sense as he produced their If You Have Ghost EP and lives here in LA, but since all that can be seen of the drummer is his hands we'll probably never know. Hell, we could be watching an all-star line-up or a bunch of plumbers, who knows? That's kinda cool, too.
SOMETIMES YOU'LL BE THE ONLY PERSON IN THE ROOM WHO DOESN'T GET IT
It would be preposterous to suggest that this is anything other than the gig of a lifetime to the faithful who are gathered here. They hang on every word and sing to every song, as rapt an audience as it's possible to wish for. If, on the other hand, you've never seen Ghost before, you might find yourself, around mid-set, wondering what all the fuss is about. Certainly it's excellent musicianship, but isn't it also just Blue Oyster Cult in funny costumes, with a bit of Mercyful Fate thrown in? Maybe a dash of the classics here and there, like a whiff of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana?
YES, IT'S DEFINITELY BLUE OYSTER CULT
Seriously, they've even got a similar Hook and Cross logo to the one made famous by BOC in the 70s. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing that with everything from Infestissumam onwards Ghost manage to evoke a bygone age, and their surprising Beatles cover, Here Comes The Sun, is oddly haunting, but, still, there's a minority of one who doesn't get it. Should George RR Martin's The Armageddon Rag ever get made into a movie then Ghost would supply the perfect soundtrack, but until then... Just because you've seen a ghost doesn't mean you have to believe in them.

Foos Grohl ensnared by rogue stage curtain

Band’s show in Amsterdam disrupted after frontman is trapped by falling screen
Foo Fighters’ recent show in Amsterdam was temporarily disrupted when frontman Dave Grohl became ensnared in a falling stage curtain.
The band opened their set in the Netherlands with Everlong – but as the track kicked in and the screen fell, it landed on top of the singer. It left him and the custom-made throne he’s been using because of his broken leg trapped under cover.
Grohl continued to play and sing but was forced to call a halt to proceedings while the curtain was slowly removed.
He said to the crowd: “Sometimes it’s the fucked up things that make you remember the show for the rest of your life.” The band then started the track from scratch.
The group recently kept their promise to play in Cesena, Italy after 1000 fans staged a mass performance of Learn To Fly to temp the band to their town.
The Foos are currently teasing fans with a countdown clock on their website, which is due to reach zero on November 23.

Dave Mustaine performing in Russia earlier this month

Mustaine reveals he's lining up 3 support acts for North American trek – but none of them are LOG
Lamb Of God won't join Megadeth on their 2016 North American tour dates, Dave Mustaine has confirmed.
Randy Blythe and co are currently on tour with Mustaine's band in the UK, with drummer Chris Adler pulling double duty. But the Megadeth mainman told fans in a Periscope Q&A that the two bands won't join up for Megadeth's North America shows – the dates for which have yet to be confirmed.
Mustaine says: "I'm really excited about coming back to the States and doing our North American tour there. The dates are coming along pretty well. And we've got three bands we're gonna be taking out with us there.
"Not completely sure about confirming all of them, but if they do confirm, the guys that I'm thinking about — no, it's not Lamb Of God for North America — if those guys are on it, I think it's gonna be a cool lineup."
Adler – who appears on Megadeth's upcoming 15th album, Dystopia – previously hinted that the two bands might join up on the US dates.
